The Koss CS100 is a wired communication headset with a double-sided headband design and a boom microphone, intended for telephony, voice-activated software and computer games. It connects to sound cards that provide a built-in bias supply for the microphone, or to an external power source where the card lacks one.

Key specs that matter

The earpieces cover 30 Hz to 16,000 Hz, with 32 ohm impedance and 91 dB SPL/1 mW sensitivity. The noise-canceling electret microphone spans 100 Hz to 16,000 Hz, rated at -56 dB +/- 3 dB per 1 V/1 kHz.

Engineering and use context

A straight single-entry cord of 2.4 m ends in two 3.5 mm plugs for audio and microphone, so the CS100 suits computers with split headphone and mic jacks. Koss covers the headset with its Limited Lifetime Warranty.
