The SVEN AP-B800MV is a closed over-ear wireless headset with hybrid active noise cancellation, built for commuting, travel and calls. It connects over Bluetooth 5.4, folds for carrying, and is controlled either with buttons on the earcup or through the Smartlife app for Android and iOS. It comes in black or grey. SVEN lists it among its full-size headsets with a microphone, so it doubles as a hands-free device for phone calls and online meetings.

Key specs that matter

Dynamic drivers with a 40 mm membrane cover a frequency range of 20 Hz to 20,000 Hz. Sensitivity is 101 dB within a tolerance of 3 dB either way, and impedance is 32 ohm. The built-in microphone sensitivity is 42 dB, again plus or minus 3 dB. A 500 mAh battery gives up to 85 hours of playback, a figure SVEN measures at 30 percent volume, and it is charged via a USB Type-C port. The wireless range reaches up to 15 m, and the headset weighs 258 g.

Engineering and use context

Hybrid ANC uses microphones on both the outside and the inside of each cup. Outward-facing capsules measure noise arriving from the surroundings, and inward-facing ones register what gets past the cup seal, so the circuit can correct in both directions. SVEN fits eight microphones in total, four per earcup, for this purpose. A pass-through mode feeds ambient noise to the drivers on purpose, letting the user notice station calls or road traffic while keeping the headset on. The app offers a customizable equalizer and stored sound profiles, and a gaming mode lowers wireless latency so that on-screen action and audio stay aligned. A Find Me function helps locate misplaced headphones. The earcups carry media and volume controls, the headband is padded, and the body folds flat. IPx4 rating means the headset resists water splashes, which covers rain and sweat but not immersion. Supplied with the headphones are a USB Type-A to USB Type-C cable, a user manual and a warranty card.

Pairing

Any phone, tablet, laptop or console with Bluetooth can be used as a source, and the low-latency mode is the relevant setting for mobile gaming and video. Since the headset has its own amplification and wireless receiver built in, no separate amplifier or converter is needed, and a charged battery is the only requirement away from a desk. The app is the place to switch between ANC, ambient pass-through and equalizer settings.

Alternatives

The SVEN AP-B710MV is another wireless ANC headset from the brand, also using Bluetooth 5.4 and rated for up to 90 hours of operation.
