The Thorens TD 404 DD vinyl record player is based on the legendary TD 124 DD model, known since 1957 for its precision and reliability. It is based on a powerful direct—drive motor that provides high torque and stable speed maintenance.
Like its predecessor in 1965, the new Thorens TD 1500 offers a sub-chassis that decouples the turntable and tonearm by means of three conical springs. The electronically monitoring speed system of the DC motor is guarantees exellent spin stability.
The Thorens TD1600 turntable implements the concept of the early Thorens 160 series models with a sub-chassis with three conical springs. The platter is driven by a belt, and the drive is equipped with an electronic motor control system. In addition to the unbalanced output on RCA connectors, a balanced output on XLR connectors is also offered.
