The Schiit Modi 5 DAC uses the Unison 384, Schiit's proprietary USB input with support for sources with parameters up to 32 bit/384 kHz, full UAC2 compatibility, as well as Linear Override, a unique power system that allows you to use the DAC from a single USB port for portability and convenience, or connect a network adapter to "block" the switching power supply is more high-voltage linear stabilized, providing a higher output level and additional overload margin.
