The dCS MCD 16 DAC is based on eight separate Ring DAC circuits and is designed for 16 independent channels. Thus, dCS is moving its discrete architecture, which is well known from the company's stereo components, into the field of multi-channel and immersive audio. The company emphasizes that the MCD 16 does not depart from the basic principles of dCS, but expands them to a new playback format.
