The YBA Design One player is based on the HD850 laser head in conjunction with the MT1389EE system. The player supports CD and SACD playback in single-layer and multi-layer formats. The AKM AK4497S DAC chip from Asahi Kasei is responsible for digital-to-analog conversion, and when operating in USB-DAC mode, the device supports decoding digital streams in PCM format with parameters up to 32 bits/768 kHz and DSD512.
