The KEF Reference 8b subwoofer boasts two 500-watt Class D amplifiers, from each of which the signal is fed to a 228 mm driver with a large diffuser stroke and ultra-low distortion. According to proprietary vibration damping technology, these frighteningly powerful drivers are installed back-to-back in an acoustically inert housing with reliable internal stiffeners. Thanks to this configuration, both drivers work more efficiently, giving noticeably greater certainty to low-frequency effects.
