The Persona 5F is a floorstanding speaker in Persona, the range at the top of the Canadian company Paradigm's speaker catalogue. It brings the beryllium tweeter technology of the Persona 3F into a larger cabinet and is the middle tower of the Persona floorstanding models, above the 3F and below the Persona 7F.

Key specs that matter

Paradigm rates the response at 45 Hz to 45 kHz, so the 5F reaches slightly lower in the bass than the Persona 3F. Sensitivity is 93 dB with a nominal impedance of 8 ohms, and Paradigm specifies amplifiers of 15 to 500 W. The cabinet measures 118.5 x 24.1 x 42.7 cm and weighs 43 kg, more than the Persona 3F.

Engineering and use context

The bigger cabinet gives the 5F more bass reach than the 3F, which makes it the more logical choice for a room where the smaller tower runs short in the low end.

Pairing

High sensitivity and an unusually wide power window mean the 5F works with modest amplifiers as well as very powerful ones, so the choice of amplifier is broad.

Alternatives

Paradigm's Persona 7F is the largest tower in the Persona range and sits above this model.
