The Klipsch Forte IV has a three-way design that uses a 12-inch woofer, a midrange and a high-frequency speaker with a horn load.

The Forte IV includes an all-new K-702 mid-range compression driver with a polyamide diaphragm for exceptional detail and dynamics. The K702 midrange speaker is connected to a modified Tractrix horn, which uses the patented Mumps technology for uniform polar midrange response, which provides a more stable sound throughout the listening area.
