The basic architecture of the iFi Audio iCan Phantom 1.5 amplifier remains the same. It is still possible to choose between a discrete Class A transistor stage and a fully tube path on a matched pair of General Electric 5670. There is also a Tube+ mode, which reduces loop gain and negative feedback depth, which, according to iFi Audio, makes the sound warmer and richer in harmonics.
