The Momentum C2Z does not replace the existing Momentum C2 , but is positioned as a complementary design developed to optimize the electrical interface between the preamplifier and power amplifier, with the aim of improving overall system performance. At the heart of the update is a reworked output stage. The Momentum C2Z introduces a current-capable field effect transistor (FET), allowing the preamplifier to deliver significantly more current to the output stage, which, according to the designers, improves stability and control over the signal path.
