Eversolo developed the AMP-F2, a small stereo power amplifier working in Class D, together with the team at Starke Sound, an American amplifier maker. Eversolo positions it as a companion for its own streamers and DACs. In France it sells for EUR 790, and the US price is USD 799.

Key specs that matter

Each channel delivers 145 W into 8 ohm and 250 W into 4 ohm in stereo, both at 1% THD. Switched to bridged mono, the amplifier gives 280 W into 4 ohm and 450 W into 2 ohm. Maximum output current reaches 16.5 A per channel, or 33 A when bridged, and the minimum load is 0.8 ohm. THD is 0.003% at 10 W and 1 kHz, while noise stays more than 110 dB below the signal, A-weighted. Gain is 21.5 dB, and response runs from 10 Hz to 20 kHz within 1 dB. Output impedance is 0.136 ohm, and Eversolo quotes a damping factor of 100. The black aluminium case measures 270 x 228 x 80 mm and weighs 3.65 kg.

Engineering and use context

Starke Sound supplies the NS600 amplifier module, with a feedback loop based on PurePath Ultra-HD technology and error correction. A 600 W switch-mode supply, which Eversolo names SAPS, feeds the module, and Eversolo states that it keeps noise and ripple low. The aluminium chassis acts as the heatsink and also shields the circuits from outside interference. A switch chooses between stereo and bridged operation. Mains voltage is set to 115 V or 230 V with a selector. Consumption is 0.5 W or less in standby and 14 W or less at idle, rising to 900 W at most, and the amplifier meets the EU ErP energy rules. Speaker cables connect to beryllium copper terminals. A trigger input and output on 3.5 mm jacks accept 5 to 12 V, letting a source component turn the AMP-F2 on and off and letting the AMP-F2 relay that command to a further unit.

Pairing

Inputs are a balanced XLR pair at 22 kOhm and an RCA pair at 11 kOhm. Full output needs 2.7 V at the input, and because the amplifier offers no volume adjustment, the source should be a preamplifier or a streamer with volume control, such as one of Eversolo's network players. The high current rating and very low minimum load allow speakers with deep impedance dips. Two units in bridged mode form a pair of monoblocks, one per speaker, for owners who later want more power.

Alternatives

The Eversolo AMP-F10 is a bigger stereo power amplifier using Class AB circuitry biased into Class A at low output, rated at 200 W per channel into 8 ohm.
