With 2 x 400 Watts (8 Ohms) or 2 x 800 Watts (4 Ohms) of power, GaN FET power amp stage, and fully balanced dual mono topology the Carbon Double Shot amplifier offers very high sound quality.
The model is encased in a durable carbon fiber housing and is equipped with new IsoAcoustics Gaia vibration isolation supports.
JAVA has LDR NSL32SR3 installed by Advanced Photonix (Canada), selected by developers from many options. The problematic aspect of the technology — the possible imbalance of stereo channels — is solved using proprietary Dynamic Current Trimming technology.
The outer case of this model is made of solid wood. It is machined on a CNC machine and finished with a luxurious natural wood veneer.
The Single Shot series amplifiers are equipped with unbalanced switching and develop 200 watts when operating on a load with a nominal resistance of 8 ohms. When the impedance is reduced to 4 ohms, the output power is doubled.
The device is equipped with seven XLR inputs, three XLR outputs and one headphone output.
The updated version of the stereo amplifier received an improved R2R DAC. Previously, the device had a digital-to-analog converter on Burr—Brown chips, now it has an AD1865 from Analog Devices.
The amplifier circuit is based on the dual mono principle with fully independent power circuits for two channels. The amplifier also has a built-in phono corrector for movable magnet heads, a digital-to-analog converter, and even an aptX-enabled Bluetooth wireless module.
