Electrocompaniet

The component ensures a completely symmetrical signal transmission from the input to the output. The input stage is implemented on JFET transistors, and the output stage is implemented on high–precision BJT transistors. The device has two balanced XLR inputs, three unbalanced RCA inputs, as well as an end-to-end channel input for integration into the DC system. There is only one adjustable output – balanced on XLR, and there is also a fixed recording output.

The Electrocompaniet EC 5 preamp retains the brand's signature classic aesthetic while receiving important updates. It uses a fully electronic volume control system without moving parts and relays in the signal path. The circuit maintains a constant signal path length at all volume levels and offers over 900 adjustment steps in 0.1 dB increments.
