Audio Resurgence notes that the new Kraken Evolution AR6A retains the original Alchemist Products design, but a significantly redesigned heatsink profile has increased the proportion of Class A operation. Coaxial volume and input selector knobs keep signal paths as short as possible. The choice of a single or improved dual external power supply remains, as does the built-in phono preamplifier module if needed.
