Audio Research is the oldest American manufacturer of High-End Audio equipment. The company was founded in 1970 in Minneapolis with the aim of introducing all advanced technologies in the field of music playback.

Reference 6SE Line-Stage

LS28SE
Preamplifiers
The LS28SE differs from its predecessor by more precise synchronization of the amplification stages and higher precision of the signal settings. The preamp is an improved version of the LS28 model from the same manufacturer. The new model differs from the standard version with improved elements and proven technologies. For example, gold capacitors were used in the preamp, as in the REF6SE model.

Preamplifiers
Audio Research Reference 6SE operates in pure Class A and uses 6H30 "long-lived" lamps (six pieces) in the main stage. The power supply is built, again, on the 6H30 and 6550. Audio Research Reference 6SE has the widest bandwidth - from 0.4 to 200,000 Hz. The gain is 6-12 dB (RCA/XLR).
