The Tina, model TAV9000D or V9000, is a one-box vinyl system from Philips that combines a belt driven turntable, amplifier, speakers, DAB+ and FM radio, Bluetooth and USB playback in one wooden cabinet. It is part of the Century range launched in September 2025 to mark 100 years of Philips audio, with styling inspired by Philips radios of the 1930s to 1950s. The price is around EUR 349 or GBP 399. The same Century range also includes The Janet portable DAB+ and FM radio, The Freddie open-backed wired over-ear headphones and The Ringo compact on-ear headphones.

Key specs that matter

The turntable runs at two speeds, 33 1/3 and 45 rpm, and uses a die-cast aluminium platter. The straight extruded aluminium arm has an adjustable counterweight and anti-skating, and it carries an Audio-Technica AT-3600L MM cartridge whose stylus can be swapped. Amplifier output is 120 W RMS, or 240 W maximum, for streaming and radio, and 60 W RMS for vinyl. The speaker system is a 2.1 layout with two full range drivers, two tweeters and a 4 inch bass reflex woofer. Bluetooth 5.4 works in both directions and supports Auracast with SBC and LC3 codecs. The cabinet measures 488 x 245 x 399 mm and weighs 11 kg, with standby consumption of 0.8 W.

Engineering and use context

Bluetooth output lets the system send audio, including the record being played, to external Bluetooth speakers, and Auracast allows broadcasting to several receivers. The tuner stores 30 DAB and 30 FM presets. Connections include a 3.5 mm auxiliary input, a USB-A port for playing files, an RCA line output and a full size 6.3 mm headphone socket. A dimmable LED display shows the selected source and switches to a clock in standby. The cabinet is wood with a scooped speaker grille and a black finish, and a removable dust cover protects the deck. Philips also fits an anti-vibration mechanism to the tonearm.

Pairing

Because amplification and speakers are built in, nothing else is required to play records. A larger system can take the signal from the RCA line output into a separate amplifier or active speakers, and the Bluetooth link can add wireless speakers in another room. Records at 78 rpm are not supported.

Alternatives

A smaller all-in-one turntable in the same Century range is the Philips The Stevie (V3000), with a three speed belt drive deck and 12 W RMS output.
