Проигрыватели виниловых дисков — Musical Fidelity ROUNDTABLE S

The Roundtable S is a belt-drive turntable from Musical Fidelity, built with a pre-fitted Ortofon 2M Red cartridge. This model represents Musical Fidelity's accessible entry into complete turntable packages, extending the brand's electronics-focused reputation into a genuine analogue source component with cartridge already fitted and aligned.

Key specs that matter

Two speeds are supported - 33 and 45 rpm. Drive is by belt with a DC motor. The pre-fitted cartridge is an Ortofon 2M Red, a well-regarded entry moving-magnet design in its own right. At 542 x 100 x 342 mm and 7.2 kg it is a compact, manageable deck, practical for a first serious vinyl purchase.

Sound and use context

Expect a settled, dependable presentation with the pre-fitted Ortofon 2M Red cartridge giving a known, well-regarded moving-magnet starting point - buying a complete package like this removes much of the setup uncertainty a component-based approach would introduce for a first-time turntable buyer.

Pairing

The pre-fitted Ortofon 2M Red is moving-magnet, needing standard MM phono gain from the amplifier or a separate phono stage, so integration into a conventional vinyl-capable system should present no particular difficulty.

Alternatives

Musical Fidelity's broader amplifier range, including its integrated amplifiers with built-in phono stages, forms a natural partner for a system built around this turntable, worth pairing together for a coherently voiced signal chain. Musical Fidelity extensive dealer network makes arranging a proper demonstration practical, worth doing to hear this specific pre-fitted cartridge and platform combination before committing to a purchase. A solid, vibration-isolated equipment stand remains a worthwhile complementary purchase given the sensitivity any turntable brings to external vibration. Overall this remains a well-regarded, complete package for a first serious turntable purchase. A dealer visit remains the simplest way to compare current pricing across Musical Fidelity turntable catalogue. A qualified installer should confirm correct tonearm balance and cartridge alignment during initial setup. A dealer demonstration remains worthwhile before committing to any specific purchase. Given the compact scale here, checking rack or shelf clearance in advance helps avoid tight-fit surprises. Overall this remains a sensible choice for a first vinyl setup.
