The 360 is the first turntable from Exposure, a British electronics maker founded in 1974 whose catalogue otherwise covers power amplifiers, preamplifiers, integrated amplifiers and power supplies.
Key specs that matter
A lightweight laminate with a polyurethane foam core forms the plinth. A precision tonearm is fitted, with its mounting braced to the bearing housing, and it accepts MM, MC and other cartridge types, although no cartridge is supplied. Pushbutton selection gives 33 1/3 and 45 rpm. The deck measures 120 x 447 x 360 mm and weighs 5 kg.
Engineering and use context
Rotation speed is governed by an external power supply with a precision speed controller. Each supply is matched and tuned to the motor of its own individual 360, so the two parts are built as a pair rather than as interchangeable units.
