The FiiO DP11 is a compact desktop CD player that combines a tray-loading transport, a built-in DAC and a set of digital outputs, and it can also copy discs to a USB drive without a computer. It was announced in September 2026 in black or silver at USD 185 or EUR 184.99, with sales planned from October 2026. In China the price is CNY 999, the same for both colour versions.
Key specs that matter
A Cirrus Logic CS43198 converter chip drives a stereo RCA line output rated at 2.2 Vrms at 1 kHz into 10 kOhm. FiiO quotes 109 dB or more for both noise floor and dynamic range, with THD+N below 0.0014 percent in CD playback and below 0.00068 percent in USB audio mode. Digital outputs are AES on XLR, coaxial and optical. Used as a USB DAC, the player accepts PCM up to 32 bit and 384 kHz and native DSD256, and it supports MQA bitstream output. The case measures 213 x 230 x 67 mm without feet and weighs 1,802 g.
Engineering and use context
Inside, FiiO uses a custom tray-loading mechanism running optimised servo firmware and sitting on a low-noise support assembly. There are two USB ports - one for firmware updates, the other dedicated to ripping. Ripping writes tracks from the disc as lossless WAV files directly to a USB storage device, which must be formatted as FAT32 and hold no more than 32 GB. A 3.71 inch LCD shows track and status information, and an infrared remote handles track selection and transport functions. Mains power enters through a built-in switching supply accepting 100 to 240 V at 50 or 60 Hz, and an external 12 V DC supply can be used instead. The footprint is chosen to sit next to a desktop DAC or headphone amplifier rather than in a full width rack.
Pairing
With its analog output the DP11 can feed a powered speaker pair, a headphone amplifier or an integrated amplifier through its line input without any converter in between. Anyone who already has a separate converter can use it purely as a transport through the AES, coaxial or optical output, and the USB DAC mode lets a computer or streamer share the same box. The ripping function suits anyone moving a CD collection onto a network drive or portable player.
Alternatives
The FiiO DM15 R2R is the company portable CD player with a resistor ladder converter, for listeners who want disc playback away from the desk.
