The TD10 SUB is an active subwoofer from the Danish loudspeaker maker Raidho Acoustics, combining two driven woofers with four passive radiators. Raidho first showed it in Munich in 2025 together with the smaller TD8 SUB, and it became available in September 2025. The price is EUR 23,000 in black and EUR 25,000 in walnut. Of the two TD subwoofers, the TD10 SUB is the larger model, with bigger drivers, more passive radiators and deeper bass extension.

Key specs that matter

Two 10 inch Ceramix drivers do the active work. Their cones carry a 10 µm diamond-like carbon coating, and each driver uses an underhung voice coil motor. Four 10 inch passive radiators complete the driver set. A 500 W Hypex Ncore Class D amplifier powers the system, and a DSP controlled from a PC sets the crossover, equalisation and phase. The response reaches 20 Hz at ±3 dB, and maximum output is 122 dB. Inputs are an analogue high-level connection, RCA and XLR. Including its feet, the TD10 SUB measures 480 x 980 x 600 mm, and the enclosure itself has a footprint of 295 x 600 mm. It weighs 64 kg.

Engineering and use context

According to Raidho, the diamond-like carbon coating stiffens the ceramic cone and damps its resonances, so the driver keeps its shape under the forces of large bass excursions. In an underhung motor the voice coil is shorter than the magnetic gap and stays inside a uniform field over its travel. Passive radiators replace a reflex port, reinforcing the lowest octave without the air noise that a port can produce at high levels, and using four of them gives a large radiating area within a narrow cabinet. The Hypex Ncore module is a Class D design, which keeps heat and weight low for its power output. The DSP introduces a latency of 3 to 4 ms, and because its crossover, equalisation and phase settings are made from a PC, the subwoofer can be matched to the main speakers precisely. The enclosure is designed to be stacked, so several units can be combined into a tower. Finishes are Black Piano and Walnut Burl Piano, both built up from 16 layers of lacquer, and the walnut veneer is matched by hand.

Pairing

Raidho designed the TD10 SUB to work with its own loudspeakers, including the TD series floorstanders such as the TD3.10, and with other makers' loudspeakers. Its high-level input connects to the speaker terminals of a stereo amplifier, while RCA and XLR inputs accept line or subwoofer outputs from a preamplifier or processor.
