Сабвуферы — Denon Home Subwoofer

The Denon Home Subwoofer is a wireless subwoofer from Denon, a Japanese brand active for over 110 years. It is designed for the Denon Home range of wireless speakers and sound bars, adding bass to music and home cinema playback. It connects to them over Wi-Fi through Denon's HEOS platform, so no speaker cable is needed.

Key specs that matter

It uses an 8 in woofer. Connectivity is Wi-Fi at 2.4 GHz (802.11b/g/n) and 5 GHz (802.11a/n/ac), with HEOS Built-in. There is also an Ethernet RJ45 port, a USB port for storage and a 3.5 mm AUX input. The amplifier is Class D. Power consumption is 50 W, 1.8 W in quick-start standby on Wi-Fi, 1.3 W on Ethernet and 0.1 W in deep standby. The European model accepts 100 to 240 V mains and the North American model 100 to 120 V, and the rated operating temperature is 5 to 35 C. The subwoofer measures 330 x 373 x 330 mm wide, high and deep, at 12.5 kg. UK pricing was GBP 449.

Engineering and use context

The subwoofer is set up by plugging it into a wall socket and pairing it with Denon Home products through the HEOS app, which removes the cable run that a conventional subwoofer needs. Within the app, the owner sets volume, the low-pass filter and phase, switchable between 0 and 180 degrees, to blend the subwoofer with the main speakers. When paired with other Denon Home products, the subwoofer adapts its settings automatically to the configuration. With a Denon Home sound bar and two Denon Home speakers as rear channels, it completes a wireless 5.1 surround system. The woofer is much bigger than the small drivers of the compact Denon Home speakers, so it extends the system's bass considerably. The Ethernet port allows a wired network connection where Wi-Fi is weak, and the USB port accepts storage devices. Controls on the unit provide volume up, volume down and mute, with a mute LED. The cabinet is black with a black grille and is sized to sit discreetly in a living room. Because the subwoofer depends on HEOS, it is intended for use with Denon's own products rather than with third-party amplifiers. In Europe it sold for about EUR 519.

Pairing

The Denon Home Subwoofer pairs with Denon Home sound bars and speakers such as the Denon Home 150, 250 and 350. A sound bar, two rear speakers and the subwoofer form a wireless 5.1 system.

Alternatives

Denon has no other standalone wireless subwoofer in its Home range.
