Key specs that matter

A 25 mm dual suspension soft dome tweeter works above a 150 mm SL mid and bass driver with a large integral soft dome at its centre, and the two meet at 2,500 Hz. The onboard grounded source Class A/B bi-amplifier totals 182 W, split into 150 W for the lower driver and 32 W for the tweeter. Response is rated from 54 Hz to 22 kHz at -6 dB, pairs are matched within plus or minus 0.5 dB and maximum output reaches 108 dB. Coherent dispersion covers plus or minus 80 degrees horizontally and plus or minus 10 degrees vertically. Signal enters through an XLR connector with 1 V sensitivity. Engineering and use context

ATC designed a new tweeter for this model and set it in a precision alloy waveguide. The mid and bass driver uses a 9 kg short-coil, long-gap motor assembly, and both units come from the ATC factory rather than outside suppliers. The cabinet is a sealed box with no port, standing under one metre tall, and a cross brace bolted to the base keeps the tall, narrow enclosure stable. Filtering is second order and critically damped, with phase compensation, and is handled at line level before the power stages. When driven into overload, an active FET circuit briefly reduces gain, while a DC fault circuit and thermal trip report through an LED on the rear panel. The on/off switch sits next to the mains inlet at the back and has no indicator of its own.

Pairing

Any preamplifier, streamer or DAC with a variable balanced output can drive the XLR inputs directly, and a standard line level reaches full output. Because the amplification is built in, no speaker cables or power amplifier are needed, only mains and a balanced interconnect to each cabinet.
