The Quartet15 is an open-baffle floorstanding loudspeaker from PureAudioProject, the newest model in the range when it was announced in May 2026, and the company presents it as the result of 14 years spent on open-baffle designs. It is meant for medium to large rooms and for long listening sessions at both low and high levels. Its public debut took place at Southwest Audio Fest in Dallas from 23 to 25 July 2026, and pricing starts at USD 19,500 per pair, depending on the baffle material chosen, and orders placed until 31 July 2026 received a 15% launch discount.
Key specs that matter
Each speaker carries four paper-cone drivers. Two proprietary 15-inch woofers were developed together with Eminence, a 10-inch mid-woofer handles the middle band, and a 5-inch Voxativ AF-2.6 full-range unit with a neodymium magnet covers the upper frequencies. Sensitivity is above 96 dB in a typical room, nominal impedance is 8 ohm, and in-room response runs from 29 to 32 Hz up to 20 kHz. Weight starts at 36 kg per speaker and rises with heavier baffle materials. Baffles are offered in coloured MDF, Valchromat HDF, three-layer bamboo and solid American walnut, oak or maple.
Engineering and use context
The 10-inch mid-woofer is the same driver PureAudioProject uses in the Coax10 of its Line15 models, while the 15-inch woofers are described by the maker as very light and fast. Signal division is handled by a Thrier crossover, a first-order three-way network built from Mundorf MCAP EVO Silver Gold Oil capacitors and MRES20 resistors. All parts sit on gold screw terminals, so owners can swap capacitors or resistors without soldering. The speakers ship flat-packed and go together with an Allen key for the frame and a screwdriver for the crossover. PureAudioProject sells the speaker directly and had not published full external dimensions at launch.
Pairing
The high sensitivity allows amplifiers of modest output to drive the Quartet15, including low-power valve and class A designs, yet the grip an amplifier keeps on the two large bass drivers still depends on its own qualities. At its Dallas debut the pair ran from Opera Consonance integrated amplifiers, the Reference 5.5i MkII and the Linear 845, rated at roughly 18 W and 28 W per channel.
Alternatives
The PureAudioProject Trio15 is the brand's first open-baffle floorstander from Line15, pairing proprietary 15-inch OB-A15SEN neodymium woofers with a choice of centre driver.
