The Clarity 66 is a two-way tower speaker made by Radiant Acoustics of Nørager, Denmark, a company that brings together Nordic Hi-Fi, led by CEO Henrik Sørensen, PURIFI Audio and HiFi Klubben, and that sells directly to consumers. It is the brand's third speaker and its first floorstander, following two compact models, and deliveries began in April 2026. The price on the maker's US site is USD 9,998 per pair, the speakers are assembled and tested in Denmark and the warranty runs for 10 years.

Key specs that matter

Two 6.5 inch PURIFI Ushindi woofers of the type PTT6.5X08-NAA-09 work in parallel with a custom, fully symmetrical AMT tweeter in a custom waveguide, and the crossover point is 2,400 Hz. Frequency response is 24 Hz to 20 kHz, with the anechoic response flat down to 32 Hz when the speaker stands well away from walls. Sensitivity is 86 dB at 2.83 V and 1 m, nominal impedance is 4 ohm and power handling is 350 W. Radiant asks for at least 100 W and recommends 200 W or more. Connection is single-wire through gold-plated terminals. Each speaker measures 222 mm wide, 1025 mm high and 355 mm deep and weighs 40 kg, or 46 kg boxed. Finishes are walnut veneer, black matte lacquer and oak veneer.

Engineering and use context

Wiring two woofers in parallel gives twice the cone area of a single unit and halves the load impedance. An AMT, or air motion transformer, uses a folded diaphragm whose pleats squeeze air in and out, so a light membrane moves a large volume of air with little excursion, and the waveguide shapes its dispersion to match the woofers around the crossover point. The crossover uses non-magnetic baked air-core coils and polypropylene film capacitors. Bass is vented through a rear Superflare port patented by Purifi and tuned to 30.5 Hz, whose flared profile reduces turbulence at high air speeds. The earlier Clarity 4.2 and 6.2 use closed boxes with side-mounted passive radiators instead. The cabinet is 21 mm MDF bonded to a 15 mm CNC-machined aluminium front baffle, and internal steel rods anchor the woofer motors to that baffle, so the reaction forces of the drivers go into the heavy front panel. Internal bracing and iCell damping complete the enclosure.

Pairing

With modest sensitivity and a low impedance, the speaker needs a solid-state amplifier with the recommended power reserve. The rear port needs some distance from the wall behind the speaker.

Alternatives

Radiant Acoustics has no other floorstanding loudspeaker, as the Clarity 4.2 and Clarity 6.2 are stand-mount monitors.
