The ALBERICH² Array System is a tall modular loudspeaker from Voxativ of Berlin, first shown at Capital Audiofest 2024 and later presented at the Bristol HiFi Show 2025. Each side stacks three Hagen² monitor enclosures on top of an Alberich active bass module, reaching about 180 cm in height. Launch pricing was USD 30,900 per pair for the US market and GBP 33,000 for British buyers, and the column is nicknamed the Berlin Towers of Power.
Key specs that matter
The upper section uses Voxativ wide-band drivers - two AF-1.9 units in the top and bottom boxes and a dual AF-2B arrangement in the middle box, with an optional rear-mounted driver available. Bass comes from a neodymium woofer in the active module, powered by its own 500 W Class D amplifier. The passive wide-band section handles 50 W RMS. Voxativ quotes a range of 20 Hz to 33,000 Hz and efficiency of up to 101 dB at 2.83 V and 1 m. Each channel measures 20.5 x 180 x 25 cm, and the maker lists a weight of 150 kg per channel. Finishes are Berlin Black or Pure Metal.
Engineering and use context
The design is a hybrid. The wide-band drivers in the Hagen² boxes run without a conventional multi-way split between tweeter and midrange, while the low end is handed to a separately powered woofer that has its own adjustable crossover. Stacking three monitor boxes per side is the maker's way of reaching higher sound pressure levels than a single Hagen² can manage, and the middle box carries the slightly more powerful AF-2B driver. Voxativ wires the whole system with its own pure copper cabling. Because the bass amplifier is built in, an outboard amplifier is left to power just the high-efficiency upper array, which Voxativ describes as amp-friendly. The modular build also means the monitor enclosures and the bass module are separate units that are assembled into one column.
Pairing
The woofer module has a line input and works with amplifiers that offer a regulated pre-out, so the preamplifier or integrated amplifier must provide that output to feed the bass section. At Bristol the system was driven by the Voxativ T-211 valve amplifier, which uses two 211 tubes, a 46-step attenuator and a dedicated subwoofer output stage, with a Weiss streamer as the source.
Alternatives
Voxativ also offers the ALBERICH² Metal, a shorter floorstanding version with a single monitor on its bass module, priced from EUR 36,900.
