The ALBERICH2, written ALBERICH² by Voxativ, is a two-module floorstanding system from the Zossen company that places a HAGEN² Monitor wideband speaker on top of an active AST Ripol bass module. Voxativ describes the pairing as a fully unified two-way design rather than a conventional hybrid. The HAGEN² Monitor appeared in August 2024 and the complete ALBERICH² followed in spring 2025. The maker lists it from EUR 22,900, and EU pricing is EUR 19,900 per pair with the AF-1.9 driver, EUR 23,900 with the AF-2A and EUR 29,900 with the AF-2B, plus EUR 1,000 for gloss white and EUR 4,000 for luxury finishes. An all-aluminium ALBERICH² Metal with welded plates was added in August 2025 from EUR 36,900 per pair.

Key specs that matter

The quoted range is 20 Hz to 33 kHz. Efficiency runs from 93 to 98 dB at 1 W and 1 m according to the driver chosen, with 93 dB for the AF-2A, 95 dB for the AF-1.9 and 98 dB for the AF-2B. Power capacity is given as 500 W sine. Each assembled speaker is 20.5 cm wide, 105 cm high and 25 cm deep. Voxativ states a weight range of 48 to 84 kg depending on version. Finish options are Berlin Black, White and a Luxury Version, and speakers are assembled in about two weeks after payment.

Engineering and use context

In the upper box a paper cone with a paper whizzer covers the band above the woofer, loaded at the rear by a horn laid out with Acoustic Stealth Technology. For this system the internal tunnels of the monitor were changed so that its horn stops working at 90 Hz, leaving the lowest range to the base. The bass module holds a single 12 inch woofer powered by a class D plate amplifier. Its controls cover phase from 0 to 180 degrees, a low-pass filter adjustable from 40 to 200 Hz and level, with a suggested starting point of 85 to 90 Hz for the filter. Line-level RCA input and output sockets, a main switch and a fused IEC inlet sit on the panel. The Ripol principle folds a dipole woofer into a frame with two large openings, one used only by the front strokes of the cone and one only by its rear strokes, which makes the bass output directional and reduces interaction with the room. All filtering happens in the analog domain, with no digital processing and no added latency. Both standard enclosures are made of MDF.

Pairing

Voxativ asks for an amplifier that copes with the complex load of its wideband drivers and has a preamp output to feed the woofer section, and for the Metal version it names its own T-211 amplifier as a match.

Alternatives

The Voxativ 9.88 SYSTEM is the larger three-module tower, adding an 8 inch low-midrange unit and a twin-woofer Pi-Bass below its horn-loaded top.
