JMR describes it as the entry model of its range and as an evolution of the original LUCIA, now fitted with new drivers made to the brand's own specification, an optimised passive crossover and a reinforced high-density MDF cabinet. The listed price is 850 EUR, and finishes are Woodscore satin black, satin black and pearl white. The Woodscore finish, shared with the LUNNA MKII floorstander, is presented as the new visual signature of JMR and a new step in the brand's design.

Engineering and use context

Its reflex enclosure has a front-mounted laminar vent. It is built from 19 mm high-density MDF assembled under a press, and rounded front edges plus a large acoustic felt around the drivers reduce early reflections off the cabinet. The new 13 cm mid-bass driver has a treated paper cone, a soft rubber centre plug to limit turbulence, a 25 mm coil carried on a ventilated aluminium tube, a more rigid open aluminium basket and a double magnet. The 25 mm fabric dome tweeter with its neodymium motor sits in a small tuned chamber that gives a low resonance of 650 Hz. An injected ABS front plate with a horn-like profile raises efficiency, and JMR describes its directivity as gentle and progressive over an extended response. The denser cabinet material is used to increase structural inertia, particularly in the bass. The two-way passive filter uses symmetrical 12 dB/octave slopes crossing at 3,500 Hz and is assembled by hand with polypropylene capacitors and ferrite-core inductors. Internal wiring is pure copper, 0.8 mm for the tweeter and 1 mm for the woofer.

JMR names small to medium living rooms as the intended setting and restricts the LUCIA MKII to domestic use, excluding bars, restaurants and events from warranty cover. Owners are asked to stay within the stated amplifier power and to follow the installation instructions, which JMR presents as the way to preserve both its performance and its durability.
