The Cymatics 6 is a two-way rear-vented stand-mount loudspeaker from Creek Audio, the British electronics company, and the first model of its new Cymatics loudspeaker line. It was announced on 12 February 2026 and shown at the Bristol Hi-Fi Show that month, and Creek calls it the reference platform for the line, which is to be joined by the Cymatics 3 and Cymatics 9. It was designed in London.

Key specs that matter

Creek fits a 25 mm aluminium dome tweeter mounted on a solid aluminium waveguide, together with a custom 171 mm fibre-cone mid-bass unit. The crossover point is 2.6 kHz. Frequency response is 44 Hz to 26 kHz ±3 dB, sensitivity is 88 dB at 2.83 V and 1 m, and nominal impedance is 4 ohm. Power handling is 120 W. Each speaker measures 225 x 410 x 340 mm and weighs 15 kg, and a packed pair weighs 31 kg. Finishes are gloss black and an eco-friendly wood, with a magnetic black cloth grille.

Engineering and use context

The solid aluminium waveguide around the tweeter serves three purposes according to Creek. It controls off-axis dispersion, loads the dome acoustically and helps the tweeter integrate with the mid-bass driver at the crossover point. The cabinet is built from heavily braced 25 mm high-mass MDF, and the internal bracing moves panel resonances out of the midrange band, where the ear is most sensitive to them. The port vents to the rear, keeping the front baffle clear for the two drivers. The custom fibre cone of the mid-bass driver is stiff and light, and the cabinet has a substantial mass for its size. The low nominal impedance means the speaker benefits from an amplifier that handles low loads well. Creek showed the Cymatics 6 alongside new MOSFET Class A/B integrated amplifiers under development, and it also suits the current 4040 A and Voyage i20 amplifiers.

Pairing

Among current Creek electronics, the 4040 A with its ES9018K2M converter, Infineon MERUS Class D output stage and optional Sequel mk4 phono module, and the Voyage i20, are the partners. Amplifiers stable into low impedances and within its power handling suit it in a room of about 20 m2. Creek had not announced a price at launch.

Creek has no other loudspeaker available yet, with the Cymatics 3 and Cymatics 9 still to join the line.
