The VMK15 ANC is a compact wireless headphone with active noise cancelling from Valco, a Finnish audio brand, and it is the lightest model in the company's current range. Finnish designer Lauri Lumme drew the exterior, and engineer Jasse Kesti handled the acoustic tuning. Valco lists it at EUR 139, and sales through its own online store began in December 2025. Two finishes are offered - black and a grey shade called Lonkero.
Key specs that matter
A 40 mm dynamic driver of 32 ohm sits in each cup, fed by an onboard Class AB amplifier. The published frequency range runs from 20 Hz to 15,000 Hz. Wireless transmission uses Bluetooth 5.3 on a Qualcomm QCC30XX chipset, with SBC, AAC and aptX codecs supported, and multipoint lets two source devices stay paired at the same time. A 1,050 mAh cell gives up to 55 hours of music with noise cancelling switched on and up to 95 hours of talk time. A full charge through USB-C takes two to three hours, and fast charging is supported. Weight is roughly 200 g.
Engineering and use context
The VMK15 is an on-ear design, with cushions that rest on the ears instead of enclosing them, which keeps the frame small. The earcups rotate flat for storage, and the headband adjusts to fit different head sizes. Instead of touch panels, four physical buttons sit hidden beneath the fabric cover of the left earcup and handle playback, volume, calls and the noise cancelling toggle, while the status LEDs are placed inside the housing. Noise cancelling is simply on or off, and there is no transparency mode, companion app or equaliser. Voice pickup relies on a CVC8 microphone system for hands-free calls. The ear cushions can be removed and replaced, the product is repairable after its warranty expires, and Valco gives two years of full warranty cover. Final assembly takes place in China.
Pairing
Smartphones and computers link wirelessly, using whichever of the three codecs the source supports. For sources without wireless output, or when the battery runs flat, the supplied 3.5 mm cable carries an analogue signal, and the headphones must still be switched on in that mode because the amplifier is active. The box also contains a USB-C charging lead, an airplane adapter and a hard-shell travel case, which suit use on flights and daily commuting.
Alternatives
The Valco VMK25.2 is the over-ear model in the range, with hybrid noise cancelling and larger cushions that surround the ears.
