Наушники — Punch Audio Portazo

Punch Audio Portazo is a hybrid universal IEM from a brand that launched in June 2025 in collaboration with Linsoul Audio. It is the second Punch Audio release after the Martilo and, like that model, it is tuned for listeners who want a strong low end, with a bass lift of about 15 dB below 400 Hz. The launch price is USD 189, with a one-year warranty on the earpieces and three months on the cable.

Key specs that matter

Each earpiece combines one 10 mm composite dynamic driver with two custom planar magnetic tweeters. The dynamic driver has a liquid crystal polymer dome and a liquid silicone suspension ring. Frequency response is 20 Hz to 35 kHz, sensitivity is 102 dB, impedance is 10 ohm and distortion is rated at 0.015 percent. Each shell weighs 4.3 g and is of medium size. The earpieces take a detachable cable through 0.78 mm 2-pin sockets.

Engineering and use context

The split of duties is simple - the dynamic driver produces the bass and lower range, while the two planar units handle the upper range and carry it to the top of the range. A planar driver moves a thin film across its whole surface, which suits it to high frequencies. The liquid silicone surround lets the dynamic diaphragm make long excursions needed for the raised bass region. The shells are 3D-printed from resin, and each faceplate is finished by hand in a shimmering green pattern, so no two pairs look the same. A pressure-release vent near the nozzle and a second relief hole near the faceplate let air escape from behind the dynamic driver, which reduces the feeling of pressure in a sealed ear canal. The nozzle has a metal mesh grille and a non-standard shape, so some third-party ear tips may not fit well. The cable is a 4-core design in oxygen-free copper with a modular plug, so the same cable serves both a 3.5 mm unbalanced and a 4.4 mm balanced output by swapping the tip, and Linsoul describes the cable as free of microphonics. The box also contains a leather case, six pairs of ear tips and four filter meshes.

Pairing

This easy load lets a phone or a small dongle DAC drive the Portazo, and a player with a balanced socket can use the supplied plug directly. A source with low output impedance keeps the load well controlled.

Alternatives

The Punch Audio Martilo is the brand's other in-ear monitor, with two 8 mm dynamic drivers, two Knowles balanced armatures and a planar tweeter.
