The MW75 Neuro LT is a pair of wireless noise-cancelling headphones from Neurable, a brain-computer interface company, built with Master & Dynamic. It embeds EEG sensors in the earcups to track focus and mental fatigue. It succeeds the MW75 Neuro, which cost USD 699, and is priced at USD 499 in green, black or blue.

Key specs that matter

The headphones use 40 mm dynamic drivers with beryllium-coated diaphragms, tuned by Master & Dynamic. Twelve EEG channels use soft fabric sensors in the ear pads. Noise cancelling offers three ANC modes, Adaptive, Max and All Day, and four ambient modes. Connectivity is Bluetooth 5.2 with aptX Adaptive, AAC and SBC, plus USB-C and analogue via a USB-C to 3.5 mm cable. Battery life is up to 22 hours, or 13 hours with focus tracking active. The LT is 12% lighter than the MW75 Neuro, with a coated canvas headband and memory foam pads.

Engineering and use context

Electroencephalography measures the small electrical signals produced by brain activity at the scalp. Neurable places fabric sensors in the ear pads, where they contact the skin around the ears, and its AI processes the signals to estimate focus and fatigue. The Neurable app presents a two-minute morning Cognitive Snapshot, real-time cognitive strain alerts that prompt breaks, and weekly Brain Age tracking. Sensor processing draws power, which explains the shorter battery life with tracking enabled. The beryllium coating stiffens the driver diaphragm so that it resists flexing at higher frequencies. Adaptive ANC adjusts the cancellation to the surroundings, while the ambient modes let external sound through for awareness or conversation. aptX Adaptive adjusts the Bluetooth bit rate to the connection, and wired use bypasses Bluetooth. Reducing weight compared with the original made the LT more suitable for all-day wear, which matters because the tracking relies on long sessions. The box also contains a travel pouch and a USB-C charging cable. The original prototype was first demonstrated at CES 2024.
