The Feylon is a full-size open-back headphone from the Russian brand Radiotehnika, a name known for its loudspeakers, amplifiers and turntables. It is the first open design in the company's range and is positioned as the top model of its headphone line, which earlier included true wireless earphones and now also covers the closed-back TD01C and TD02C monitor models. It was announced in spring 2026 and went on sale immediately at a recommended retail price of RUB 24,990, later raised to RUB 25,990.
Key specs that matter
Radiotehnika fits each cup with a 50 mm dynamic driver with an ultra-thin polycarbonate diaphragm. Radiotehnika quotes a frequency range of 20 Hz to 20 kHz, a sensitivity of 103 dB within 3 dB either way, a nominal impedance of 32 ohm and a maximum input power of 350 mW. The headphone weighs 296 g with its cable attached. The cable is 1.6 m long, detachable and terminated in a 3.5 mm jack, and the box includes a 3.5 mm to 6.3 mm adapter together with a carrying case. A replacement cable is offered separately by the maker.
Engineering and use context
With the open acoustic design, sound from the back of each diaphragm is released outward through the cup instead of being trapped in a sealed chamber. Radiotehnika states that this rear venting reduces pressure on the eardrums. The cups combine wood and metal with plastic parts, and the company chose this mix of materials for the durability of the housing. The headband has a soft foam-padded insert carried on aluminium supports that adjust to the shape of the head. The earcups rotate through 90 degrees and 180 degrees for storage and transport. Ear pads are covered in artificial leather and are described by the maker as soft and vented to suit the open-back construction. The detachable lead carries left and right side markings. Radiotehnika markets the Feylon for extended listening sessions at home.
Pairing
Radiotehnika names professional audio work, monitoring and DJ use alongside home listening as intended applications. The supplied adapter lets the headphone connect to the larger socket found on professional equipment.
Alternatives
The Radiotehnika TD01C is the brand's closed-back over-ear headphone with a 45 mm dynamic driver, a metal headband, two cables and a protective case.
