The Clam Ace 2 is a noise-cancelling wireless over-ear model made by Fresh 'n Rebel, the Dutch lifestyle audio brand. It was launched in September 2025 at EUR 99.99. The design is closed-back and foldable, and it comes in six colours, Ice Grey, Pastel Pink, Dreamy Lilac, Dried Green, True Blue and Storm Grey.

Key specs that matter

Noise control is adaptive hybrid active noise cancelling, with wind-noise cancelling and an ambient sound mode reached by a quick-access control. Two ENC microphones handle calls. Bluetooth 6.0 supports multipoint connection to two devices, and USB-C serves both charging and wired USB audio. Battery life is more than 100 hours in total, 60 hours with noise cancelling on and 45 hours with noise and wind-noise cancelling both active. A 10 minute charge gives 8 hours of playback, and a full charge takes 2 hours. The box contains a USB-C to USB-C cable, a carrying pouch and a quick start guide. Fresh 'n Rebel does not publish driver size, impedance, sensitivity, frequency response, codecs or weight.

Engineering and use context

Hybrid noise cancelling uses microphones on the outside and inside of each ear cup, so the processing can cancel both incoming noise and what remains inside the cup, and the adaptive function adjusts the strength to the surroundings. Wind-noise cancelling reduces the rumble that wind causes across the outer microphones, which is why it costs extra battery life. The ambient mode lets outside sound in, for announcements or traffic. Personal Sound by Audiodo runs a hearing test in the My Sound app for iOS and Android and builds a sound profile matched to each listener's hearing. USB audio over the charging cable lets the headphones play from a computer or phone without Bluetooth. On-ear detection pauses playback when the headphones are taken off. A volume wheel and ear-cup buttons provide control, and voice assistants are supported. Soft vegan-leather ear cushions and a flexible headband are used. The folding design and the pouch make the headphones easy to carry when travelling. The Clam series also includes the Clam Fuse, Clam Core and Clam Blaze models.

Pairing

Bluetooth takes up to two sources at once, such as a phone and a laptop, and a computer can also use the USB-C audio connection.
