The Snowsky Disc is a pocket digital audio player from Snowsky, the budget sub-brand of FiiO, and it borrows the look of a portable CD player by placing a round touchscreen where the disc would sit. It went on sale in January 2026 at USD 80, with regional prices reaching USD 99, in sky blue and black, and a pink edition followed through the official FiiO online store in mid to late January 2026. It plays files stored on a memory card rather than streaming apps, and it doubles as a USB DAC for a phone or laptop.
Key specs that matter
Two Cirrus Logic CS43131 chips handle conversion. The 3.5 mm jack delivers 125 mW into 32 ohm and the 4.4 mm balanced jack 280 mW into 32 ohm, with low and high gain settings. The 1.8 inch fully laminated LCD has a resolution of 360 x 360 pixels. Storage comes from a microSD card of up to 2 TB, which FiiO says is space for about 8,000 albums. The 1450 mAh battery gives up to 12 hours of playback, less when the balanced output is in use, and refills from empty in about an hour. The aluminium alloy body measures 68 x 68 x 12.9 mm and weighs 77.2 g.
Engineering and use context
The player runs a proprietary Linux-based system on a dual-core Ingenic X2000 processor, reaches its home screen in roughly 10 seconds and does not accept third-party apps. Built-in Wi-Fi lets it receive AirPlay from Apple devices, while Bluetooth 5.4 with LDAC sends audio out to wireless headphones and speakers. The single-ended socket can be switched to a coaxial S/PDIF output, and the USB-C port carries USB Audio Class 2.0 data in both directions as well as power, accepting PD, SuperVOOC and Quick Charge 3.0 chargers. The round screen shows album artwork and lyrics and can rotate, a companion smartphone app is offered, and an option adds retro effects to the interface. Ten EQ presets include two aimed at taming sibilance, and six digital filters include a non-oversampling mode. A top button wakes the screen, and side buttons for play, pause and volume keep working with the display off. Supplied items are a charging and data lead with USB-A and USB-C ends, manuals and four stickers.
Pairing
Earphones and easy-to-drive portable headphones with balanced plugs can use the balanced jack, while the single-ended output covers standard cables. LDAC-capable wireless headphones get the higher bitrate link, and the coaxial mode lets the Disc feed a desktop DAC or a home receiver. A PU leather case in black, red or green is sold separately.
Alternatives
The FiiO Snowsky Echo Mini is a smaller player from the same sub-brand, styled after a cassette player and fitted with 8 GB of internal storage plus a microSD slot.
