The Poki is the first product from UNio, the digital division of the Hong Kong company ungnoi, and is a network switch built for audio systems and high-speed streaming. Development took more than a year, and the design pairs 2.5G data ports with an isolated port reserved for the main streaming device. The switch was first launched in Singapore and shown at HiEnd Asia Singapore 2025.
Key specs that matter
Four RJ45 LAN ports run at 2.5 Gbps, giving more bandwidth than the common 1G audio switch and leaving headroom for future network upgrades. All copper ports use RJ-45 8-pin connectors. A separate 1 Gbps Zen Zone RJ45 port sits in an independent isolation zone and is intended for the primary streamer. An SFP port accepts optical modules at 10 Gbps or 1 Gbps for SFP-equipped streamers, DACs, routers or other switches, but direct attached metal SFP cables are not supported. Power is 12 V DC at 3 A through a 5.5/2.1 mm jack, with an adapter included. The switch measures 270 x 168 x 48 mm and weighs 3.5 kg.
Engineering and use context
Timing relies on a CHRONOS Class ultra-low phase noise clock. For each unit, around 20 high-end quartz clocks go through a 3-hour constant-temperature test, and only one is chosen. A BNC input accepts a 10 MHz external reference at 50 ohms, in sine or square wave form, for use with a master clock. The DC supply is split by a shunt design with four independent filters for the 0.95 V, 1.1 V, 3.3 V and 5 V rails, so the internal circuits interfere less with one another. The one-piece chassis is machined from aluminium alloy with a Rose Cutting style edge, and Japanese carbon fibre shielding inside reduces electromagnetic interference. A blue ambient light at the base can be turned off with a rear illumination switch, and a grounding terminal allows connection to a ground box. Finishes are Snow Silver and Phantom Black.
Pairing
The maker lists the DELA S1 and S5 switches, Lumin streamers and the Eversolo A10 among devices that can link to the SFP port by fibre. UNio also offers its own optical cables in 1.25G and 10G versions, and ungnoi makes the UNio Formula dual stage hybrid DC power supply as an upgrade over the stock adapter. Two Poki units can also be linked to each other by fibre, giving optical isolation between the two switches.
Alternatives
The Poki is currently the sole network switch in the UNio catalogue, and ungnoi lists no second switch under either name.
