The amplifier delivers 2x 65 W, or 4x 33 W into 4 ohm when Speaker A and Speaker B are used, and each speaker pair has its own volume setting. The analogue input covers 10 Hz to 40,000 Hz, the audio signal to noise ratio is 90 dB, input sensitivity is 200 mV at 30 kohm, and distortion is 0.1% at 1 kHz and 5 W into 4 ohm. Engineering and use context

Switchable operating modes named Bi-Amp and Bridge-Tied Load are provided. Four amplifier channels let the MCR 60n bi-amp a suitable pair of loudspeakers, bridge its output, or feed two separate pairs in different rooms. Network playback runs through HEOS, which also groups the unit with other HEOS devices for multi-room use, and the system is Roon Ready. Native Connect support covers Spotify, TIDAL and Qobuz, with AirPlay 2, Bluetooth, Deezer, Amazon Music and Pandora also listed. A tuner covers AM and FM, without DAB. Connections include one analogue input and one analogue output, one optical input, USB, Ethernet, a subwoofer pre-out and a main pre-out that can be assigned as AUX. Bass, treble and balance controls are provided, and a three-line OLED panel shows status. The speaker terminals are of the screw type.

Pairing

The HDMI eARC connection carries sound from a television into the system, so one pair of stereo speakers serves both music and TV. Vinyl playback needs no outboard phono box, since moving magnet pickups are served by the internal stage, while an active subwoofer can be run from the configurable sub pre-out. Private listening goes through the front headphone socket.
