The ESAVOX is an active Bluetooth sound system from iXOOST built around an original Lamborghini Aventador exhaust cover and developed with Automobili Lamborghini. iXOOST is based in Modena, Italy, and was founded by Matteo Panini and Mirco Pecorari. The company turns car parts such as exhausts, rims and tyres into loudspeaker systems and works with Lamborghini, Mercedes-AMG and Pirelli. The ESAVOX name dates back to at least 2016, and the edition presented in 2025 is limited to 63 handcrafted pieces. In the UK it is sold exclusively through Harrods at GBP 34,999.
Key specs that matter
The system uses two 1 inch tweeters, two 6.5 inch carbon mid-bass drivers and one 10 inch subwoofer firing downward. Amplification totals 640 W, split into two 120 W channels for the tweeters and mid-bass drivers and one 400 W channel for the subwoofer. The frequency response is 20 Hz to 22 kHz. Bluetooth 5.0 is the main connection, and an RCA line input and an AUX input accept wired sources. The unit measures 125 x 50 x 65 cm and weighs 53 kg.
Engineering and use context
The chassis is a monocoque made from 3K twill 245 carbon fibre, cured in an autoclave at 6 bar, the same process used for structural carbon parts in cars. A monocoque carries its loads through the outer shell, so the cabinet stays stiff without heavy internal framing. The side cabinets are cut in a hexagonal shape that follows the design language of the Aventador, and the exhaust cover forms the central element of the front. A passive vibration-damping system isolates the enclosure from the structure it stands on. The downward-firing subwoofer uses the floor as a boundary, and its own amplifier channel lets it run independently of the upper drivers. Colours carry Lamborghini names - Green Gea, Grey Keres Matte, Orange Anthaeus, Red Epona, Blue Uranus and White Siderale. Each piece is assembled by hand, which together with the production limit of 63 units places the ESAVOX closer to a collector object than to a conventional speaker system.
Pairing
As a complete powered system, the ESAVOX needs only a source. Phones, tablets and computers connect over Bluetooth, and a streamer, CD player or television can feed the RCA line input or the AUX input. Given its size and weight, it needs a solid floor position in a room of at least 20 m2, and the downward-firing subwoofer requires a hard, level surface beneath it.
Alternatives
The iXOOST OttO is built from a race-car exhaust manifold instead of a Lamborghini exhaust cover.
