The Luxman M-10X is a stereo power amplifier introduced in February 2022 ahead of the company's 100th anniversary in 2025, with a US retail price of USD 19,995. It introduced the new LIFES Version 1.0 feedback engine, which succeeds the ODNF technology the brand introduced in 1999. The first 12 W per channel are delivered in pure class A. The M-10X weighs 48.4 kg and measures 440 x 224 x 488 mm.

Engineering and use context

A 4x2 output configuration is used in each channel, made of two three-stage Darlington circuits and quadruple paralleled push-pull stages, with sixteen output transistors per channel. Power comes from a transformer rated at 1,250 VA, rising to 2,500 VA instantaneous, and each channel has its own bank of four 20,000 uF filter capacitors. The input stage uses FETs with high transconductance in the primary stage, and the supply adds Vishay Zener diodes and new regulator chips. The chassis is built without ground loops. The aluminium front panel has a blasted white finish, a bevelled edge and small-diameter function switches. Its needle-movement level meters are lit by incandescent-toned LEDs. Trigger input and output terminals on 3.5 mm mono jacks allow power switching to be synchronised and daisy chained. Power consumption is 540 W in operation, 290 W at idle and 1 W in standby.

Pairing

Balanced and unbalanced inputs let the M-10X take a signal from either type of preamplifier output, and the RCA sockets are made of copper alloy. The speaker terminals accept Y-lug connectors. Two units in mono mode can drive one loudspeaker each for owners who want more output than one stereo chassis gives.
