The Caspian 4G Power Amplifier comes from Roksan, the Essex brand that now belongs to Monitor Audio Group, and it is hand-built at the group's headquarters in Rayleigh. It went on sale in January 2026 together with the Caspian 4G Streaming Pre-Amplifier, the pair becoming the third and fourth members of the Caspian Series 4G after the integrated and streaming amplifiers introduced in late 2024. Pricing is GBP 3,000, USD 3,750 or EUR 3,500 per unit, and the pre and power combination costs GBP 6,500, USD 8,250 or EUR 7,500.

Key specs that matter

In stereo mode each channel produces 105 W into 8 ohm and 200 W into 4 ohm. Bridged as a mono block, the same chassis delivers 420 W into 8 ohm and 630 W into 4 ohm. Roksan specifies THD+N below 0.007% at 1 W and 1 kHz with both channels driven, while noise sits more than 85 dB below the signal. Inputs come in two forms, unbalanced RCA and balanced XLR. The case is 93 mm high, 432 mm wide and 378 mm deep, weighs 14.9 kg, and is finished in black or silver. Buyers get five years of warranty cover.

Engineering and use context

The output stage follows Roksan's Euphoria architecture, a class AB design tuned for power delivery. Its key feature is that the voltage amplification and current amplification stages draw on separate power supplies, which keeps them from interacting with each other. Roksan also worked on the soft-clip behaviour, tuning it through listening sessions so the amplifier can reach higher levels before the signal degrades. Setup and control go through the MaestroUnite app shared with Monitor Audio products, which also delivers firmware updates over the air. Every Caspian 4G amplifier ships with an extruded aluminium remote handset. Because the stereo or mono choice is made per unit, an owner can start with one amplifier and later add a second one, bridging both to drive a single speaker each.

Roksan designed the amplifier around its Caspian 4G Streaming Pre-Amplifier at USD 4,500, which contributes BluOS multi-room streaming at up to 24 bit and 192 kHz over Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, an HDMI eARC input and phono amplification for both MM and MC pickups, and the two share fully balanced signal paths over XLR. Any other preamplifier with RCA or XLR outputs also works. The strong increase in power into lower impedances means the output stage can deliver current into low-impedance loudspeakers.
