The AMP-F8 is a two-channel Class AB power amplifier from Eversolo, the Chinese maker best known for its DMP network players. Eversolo introduced it in August 2026 as a partner for its DMP-A8 Gen 2, with pre-orders opening that month and shipments planned for September 2026. List pricing is USD 1,800 in the US and EUR 1,800 in Europe.

Key specs that matter

In stereo the AMP-F8 delivers 180 W RMS per channel into 8 ohm and 280 W RMS into 4 ohm, and bridging the two channels gives 500 W RMS into 8 ohm. THD+N is 0.003% at 1 kHz, and noise sits at least 115 dB below full output, A-weighted. The damping factor exceeds 400 at 8 ohm and 1 kHz, and crosstalk between channels is no worse than -95 dB at 180 W into 8 ohm. Frequency response runs from 10 Hz to 30 kHz within plus or minus 0.5 dB at 1 W into 8 ohm. The case measures 265 x 388 x 119 mm and weighs 15.9 kg net or 18.6 kg packed. Engineering and use context

The output stage runs with Class A bias at low power and moves into Class AB as demand rises. Each channel uses three pairs of precision-matched high-current MOSFET output devices in parallel. Power comes from a custom 800 W toroidal linear supply feeding 24 audio-grade filter capacitors, and Eversolo keeps the two channels independent to limit crosstalk. A DC blocking circuit in the supply path keeps the transformer core out of saturation, and the gain stages use a dual differential, symmetrical layout. The chassis is a unibody aluminium shell machined by CNC with an anodised, sandblasted finish, and large fins on the sides shed heat by natural convection with no fan. Two backlit analogue VU meters on the front panel track what each channel is delivering. The mains supply is set for either 100 to 120 V at 60 Hz or 220 to 240 V at 50 Hz, and a trigger cable ships in the box with the power cord and manual.

Pairing

There is one balanced XLR and one unbalanced RCA input, each with an input impedance of 10 kOhm. Gain is switchable between 23 dB and 29 dB. At 23 dB the XLR input needs 5.2 V for full output and the RCA input 2.65 V, while at 29 dB these figures drop to 2.6 V and 1.3 V. Eversolo shaped the amplifier to match the DMP-A8 Gen 2, a network player with its own DAC and volume control, but any preamplifier with RCA or XLR outputs can drive it. Bridged mono operation allows a pair of AMP-F8 units to drive one speaker each.
