The Voyage i20 is an integrated amplifier with an onboard DAC and headphone stage from Creek Audio. It uses a Class G output design, a more efficient form of Class AB with two voltage levels, which lets a powerful circuit fit in a slim case and run cool with a modest heatsink.

Creek specifies 120 W into 8 ohms and 240 W into 4 ohms with both channels driven, and 480 W into 2 ohms with one channel driven, all at 1 % THD. Continuous output current exceeds 10 A, and peak current reaches 26 A into 0.5 ohm for 100 ms. THD plus noise is below 0.002 % from 20 Hz to 20 kHz at two thirds of rated power, while line input noise sits 102 dBA down and crosstalk exceeds 80 dB. Engineering and use context

The design is DC-coupled, avoiding coupling or feedback capacitors, and an electronic servo compensates DC offset, held below 5 mV. Sanken STD03 transistors work alongside several MOSFETs, and protection covers over-current, DC offset and over-temperature. A 1500 W voltage-stabilised high-frequency supply feeds the amplifier, which idles under 20 W, peaks at 600 W and enters auto standby after 30 minutes without signal. There are four unbalanced RCA inputs and one XLR input for balanced sources, and a direct mode is available for use as a power amplifier. The MUSES resistor-ladder attenuator covers 80 dB in 1 dB steps, and preamp gain can be raised by up to 12 dB. The DAC section takes USB Class 2 at up to 32-bit 384 kHz and DSD 64 and 128, two coaxial and two optical inputs at 24-bit 192 kHz, and Bluetooth aptX HD through a built-in Comet mk2 module. An optional Sequel mk4 phono board serves moving magnet and moving coil cartridges at 40 or 50 dB of gain. A dedicated 6.3 mm headphone output, under 22 ohms output impedance, handles loads from 12 to 600 ohms.

Pairing

The Voyage CD player matches the chassis width and finish, and IR bus sockets allow daisy-chained control. A preamp output with 100 ohm impedance can feed an extra amplifier, and a ground lift switch sits under the chassis. The fascia is finished in silver or black over a black outer cover, and a rotary knob pair joins the OLED display and remote. The mains fuse is a T10AL 10 A time-lag type, and the 230 V version accepts 170 to 265 V.
