The BRAMA G2 Integrated Amplifier is a hybrid integrated amplifier from Vinnie Rossi of Worcester, Massachusetts, a company that Vinnie Rossi founded in 2004 as Red Wine Audio and renamed after himself around 2014. The second-generation BRAMA range was announced on 3 April 2024, shown at AXPONA 2024 and available from May 2024, and the integrated amplifier costs USD 47,995. Each unit is hand-assembled and tested in-house, and Rossi carries out the final quality check himself.

Key specs that matter

Output is 200 W RMS per channel into 8 ohm and 400 W into 4 ohm, and the amplifier is stable into 2 ohm. THD+N is below 0.1% from 20 Hz to 20 kHz, frequency response is 5 Hz to 100 kHz within 0.5 dB and noise is more than 100 dB below the signal. Five balanced XLR inputs at 20 kOhm are fitted, with RCA adapters included, one pair of volume-controlled XLR outputs, WBT nextgen 0710-Ag binding posts and a Brama Link trigger output. Gain can be set to 22, 28 or 34 dB. Idle consumption is 70 W, and mains input is 100 to 264 V. The amplifier measures 475 x 406 x 140 mm and weighs 22.7 kg.

Engineering and use context

The line stage runs in pure Class A with a matched pair of Western Electric WE300B triodes mounted horizontally inside the chassis. The output stage is Class AB and uses only two precision-matched lateral MOSFETs per rail, which the second generation made more powerful from fewer devices. Power comes from a custom switch-mode supply rated at 2400 W peak with patented Belleson linear super-regulated outputs, so the switching stage provides the energy and the linear regulators clean it. A single billet of 6063 aircraft-grade aluminium is milled to form the chassis. Volume uses a 100-step resistor ladder and balance has 12 steps, with gain and balance stored for each input. The right knob is a 48-position Swiss rotary encoder with magnetic sensing and push-to-mute, and a front gauge shows output power on scales for both rated loads. Home Theater Bypass sets one input to unity so a surround processor controls the level. The remote is machined aluminium with a 61 mm LCD under sapphire glass, Bluetooth and a battery charged over USB-C. A travel case with foam, latches and wheels is supplied, and the warranty runs for 10 years.

The high current capability suits low-impedance and low-sensitivity speakers. The XLR outputs can drive a subwoofer.
