Other devices — SOtM Special RACK

The SOtM Special RACK is an equipment rack that SOtM developed together with TAKT, a company producing audio system accessories. It is intended for the components of the SOtM Ultimate series, and its frame is assembled from acrylic panels in a white-silver finish.

Key specs that matter

Each tier is dimensioned for one of the larger Ultimate units, the sMS-1000 music server, the sDP-1000 DAC and preamplifier or the sPS-1000 power supply. The bottom plate rests on four feet, two per side, which SOtM designed for vibration control, and a pendulum is mounted in the structure to deal with unwanted vibration.

Engineering and use context

The rack is modular. It can be bought as a single stack and grown later with further stacks as the system expands, so a server, a DAC and a separate power supply can each get their own level in one column.

Alternatives

For the smaller SOtM components, the brand offers the Advanced RACK, which combines aluminium and translucent acrylic and suspends each unit.
