Other devices — SOtM Advanced RACK

The SOtM Advanced RACK is an equipment rack sized for the compact components of the SOtM Advanced range. SOtM developed it together with TAKT, an accessory maker that concentrates on anti-vibration technology, and it holds one of four models per tier - the sHP-100 headphone amplifier, the mBPS-d2s power supply, the dX-USB HD interface or the sMS-100 network player.

Engineering and use context
Instead of resting a unit on a shelf, the frame suspends it. SOtM explains this choice by the low weight of its Advanced products. A pendulum fitted to the bottom plate works as a second measure against vibration. The frame is aluminium, and the panels are semi-translucent white acrylic. The rack ships as a single tier, and further tiers can be stacked on top when another Advanced component joins the system, so a small server, power supply and headphone amplifier can share one stack.
