In a digital audio system, the power supply is far more than just an energy source that keeps the equipment running. The quality of the power directly affects the stability and noise performance of the entire system, ultimately influencing the naturalness, detail, and musical expression of the playback. The sPS-550 is SOtM’s high-performance power supply, developed with a strong focus on the importance of power quality. Built upon SOtM’s extensive experience in power supply design, the sPS-550 offers multiple output voltages and generous power capacity, allowing a single power supply to support a wide range of audio equipment as well as computer-based audio systems. By delivering exceptionally clean and stable power, it creates an environment in which connected components can perform at their full potential. Conventional power supplies primarily focus on reducing noise coming from the AC mains. In real-world audio systems, however, the connected equipment itself also generates various forms of electrical noise, which can propagate back through the power line and affect the entire system. The sPS-550 has been engineered with this in mind. Utilizing SOtM’s proprietary power supply design and carefully selected audio-grade components, it effectively suppresses not only external noise entering from the AC source, but also unwanted noise generated by connected devices, providing a cleaner and more stable power environment. To support a wide variety of applications, the sPS-550 provides eight selectable output voltages: 5V, 7V, 9V, 10V, 12V, 15V, 17V, and 19V. The desired output voltage can be easily selected using the rear-panel voltage selector, making the sPS-550 suitable for a broad range of audio equipment and computer-based audio systems.
